I had a little dream — to win recognition in the amateur photography competition at my local county fair. The dream came to fruition in the 2015 edition of the Henry County Fair, Napoleon, Ohio, when I won third place in Black & White Prints, 5×7 to 8×10, Class = Scenery, as shown (ABOVE), and (BELOW):
Lots of folks have dreams of winning a contest at the annual fair.
The rider (BELOW) competed in the Junior Fair’s various horse contests. Animal competitions make up a large portion of the fair’s comparative groupings for 4Hers and organizational members and always are well attended.
These fine specimens (BELOW) competed in fowl categories.
Big and small partners (BELOW) competed in cart and wagon pulling and maneuvering.
And locals competed (BELOW) for prime seating for the Sunday evening fair parade along State Route 108 through the city, placing their lawn chairs to claim their intended spots long before the Tomato Queen contestants were scheduled to pass by!
