In my fourth official year of entering the amateur photography contests at the Henry County Fair, I experienced my most success to date, garnering the RESERVE BEST of SHOW overall ribbon; two BEST of CLASS ribbons; and seven other ribbon awards from 11 total entries.
ABOVE is my RESERVE BEST of SHOW overall photo, which also took First Place in “Nature”, Color Snapshots, 4×6, ages 65 and older, and was given the BEST of CLASS ribbon for all snapshot entries, 65 and older.
My other BEST of CLASS ribbon was awarded in “Still Life”, Black & White Prints, 5×7 to 8×10, ages 16 and over, and is pictured BELOW:
(Sometimes pictures are rather difficult to photograph when they are hanging on the Fair’s display wall boards, so I included full copies of the two original Best of Class winning photos, here.)
BELOW is a compilation of my other five pictures that won ribbons, and they may appear in other posts of this Fair blog, as well:
The above winners are Second in “Arches”, Color Prints, 5×7 to 8×10, ages 16 and over; First in “Henry County Landmarks”, Color, or Black & White Prints, 5×7 to 8×10, ages 16 and over; Second in “Trees”, Snapshots, 4×6, 65 and older; Honorable Mention in “People”, Black and White Prints, 5×7 to 8×10, ages 16 and over; and Honorable Mention in “Flowers”, Snapshots, 4×6, ages 65 and older.
BELOW are some award-winning competitors and art work from our talented area youngsters:
My Fair blog will continue to post original photos taken at the Henry County Fair from various years.
